Prerequisites:

• Completion of a two year Spiritual Direction training program 

• Completion of having prayed through the 19th Annotation of the Ignatian Exercises with a trained Ignatian Spiritual Director

• Minimum of 100 hours of offering Spiritual Direction (after receiving a two year Spiritual Direction certificate)

•  Interview

This course is offered to experienced directors who have a deep desire to guide others through the 19th Annotation of The Ignatian Exercises.  Our program will include a study of the Principles of Ignatian Spirituality, as well as the structure of The Exercises themselves.  Participants will pray the Examen, with special attention to noticing feelings, deep desires, and interior movements toward consolation/true self and desolation/false self.  Through readings, podcasts, and meditative experiences, participants will understand the movement of thoughts and feelings through the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus while on earth.  There will also be weekly meetings with volunteer retreatants whom the participants will guide through The Exercises.  Also, peer supervision with cohort members will provide insight, encouragement, and growth in the practice of Spiritual Direction.  Be prepared to be transformed as you witness the transformation of others!
