Join us for a one-day workshop on Reading the Hebrew Bible for Spiritual Formation. Paavo and Stan will facilitate conversations about what it means to read the Hebrew Bible for spiritual formation, how it can be done practically, and what are obstacles to and benefits of reading the Hebrew Bible for formation. The workshop will be aimed at supporting the work of those engaged in the ministry of spiritual direction, but other ministry leaders and people interested in reading the Hebrew Bible for spiritual formation are welcome as well.

Paavo Tucker is a spiritual director, seminary professor, and scholar of the Hebrew Bible whose research focuses on reading the Hebrew Bible for spiritual formation. He is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary (Ph.D. Old Testament), and received his spiritual direction training through the Order of Sustainable Faith.

Stan Wilson is a spiritual director trained at Lipscomb’s Institute for Christian Spirituality, a professor of biblical studies (Ph. D. Turner School of Theology), and pastor with two decades of ministry experience. His research focuses on understanding the worldview and theology of the Hebrew Bible in its ancient Near Eastern context.
